Polymers & Advanced Materials
Ohio ranks No. 1 among national polymer centers by employment. Northeast Ohio alone, if it were considered as a state, would rank 10th. Polymers and Advanced Materials contribute significantly to the success of our other major industries, including Biosciences and Healthcare, Information and Communication Technology, Instruments/Controls/Electronics, and Advanced Energy, Power and Propulsion. Clearly, this is a key industrial sector for our region—one in which continued innovation is essential not only if we want to maintain our leadership position, but also if we want to ensure that future growth comes from the highest value opportunities available in each of these sectors.
